SaveDir saves the file list of any directory to a text file, a feature that the Windows Explorer unfortunately doesn't have.
The display of the file list is alike to the good old DOS command "DIR". The name of the file, the size of the file in byte and date and time of the file are shown. You may filter a certain file name suffix. You can choose, if hidden files or if system files are shown.
The file list, as displayed by the program, can be saved in a text file, or you can print it, copy it to the clipboard, or find a string within the file list.
Why is SaveDir useful? Well, the important directories and sub-directories of the Windows system should be saved as a contents table in regularity. That's the way to get controll about the files, an application setup added to the Windows system directory. Let's hope, that you will never find a file, which doesn't belong to your system, like a virus. Are you interested, how many files your browser left after visiting the internet?
